Greg Dix - 1966
1966 Yearbook photo
Oct 27,2021

Properly as Franklin Gregory Dix. Had been using Franklin for some time but we knew him in school as Greg.

He was on the Peninsula at the time of our early October, 2021 reunion and had intended to attend.

Just before the reunion, he took ill and was taken to Community Hospital where he died a few weeks later.

I don't have an official obit for him. If anyone knows more, please let the Webmaster know.

Greg was a character. I still remember going to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk with Greg and a bunch of guys one Saturday. What a crazy day that was.- Rusty Williams

I remember Greg Dix well and sorry to hear he passed away. My fond memory of him was when we snuck off campus together in our sophomore year to visit friends at Seaside High. We were busted by a Seaside High administrator and sent back to PGHS via taxi. I think we had a disciplinary hearing with Mr. Scholefield. Anyway rest in peace my fellow crime partner. - Greg Dorman

Greg’s passing has hit me hard. We were good friends for many years. We did so many things together. One of my fondest memories from our early high school years is going to Disneyland with Greg and his parents. Greg and I used to play music together. I barely knew what I was doing on the guitar. He was a talented singer and the best blues harmonica player I’ve ever heard. I was honored to be the best man at Greg’s wedding. We stayed in touch until the early 80s. Sadly, we lost contact after that. I’m moved that John L served as Greg’s caretaker. I wish I could have helped. Greg was a great guy. - Bil DeHay

It was about 8 years ago, when John Sullivan ran into Frank by accident. John was driving along and saw a person on the sidewalk that looked like it could be Frank. It was. Soon after, John became his caretgiver. 3 years ago Frank moved into John's house. I saw them both a lot as Frank would go everywhere with John. Many conversations with the 3 of us, always having a good time. Frank played his guitars every day. Frank's life was definitely extended by the kindness, compassion and love that John gifted him - Bill Wyman

I’VE KNOW GREG SINCE I WAS A TOLDLER. Gregs Fathers brother and sister were my neighbors on Huckleberry Hill all of my childhood. Gregs cousins are Bret and Gary Gasperson ( class of 1969 and 1971 0r 2). He was a childhood playmate and a High School friend. Its great reading the great words being shared by each of you !!! - Debbie Anthony
