Tor Paul Larson (58)

Tor Paul Larson was born in Carmel, California on April 9, 1947 to Roy and Jean Larson. He passed away in his sleep early January 6, 2005 after a stroke.

Tor was a special person, full of jokes and songs.

He attended Devereux School in Santa Barbara. Tor frequently participated in the school's performing arts; he appeared in "The Mikado" and "HMS Pinafore" as well as many talent shows where he entertained with songs of his favorite singers Elvis and Bing.

He returned to live in Carmel in 1974 and often worked with his father on carpentry projects.

He attended All Saints Episcopal Church where he was an usher and sang in the choir.

In 1989 he moved to Dos Palos to live with his sister and niece. Tor attended and was a faithful supporter of the Methodist Church in Dos Palos. He worked at King's View Work Experience Center for several years before retiring due to his Muscular Dystrophy.

He lived for the last five years in the Skilled Nursing Facility, Dos Palos Memorial Hospital, where he helped with activities by calling Bingo and singing with the visiting musicians. Tor always had a story or joke to tell, and loved to talk football, especially about the Dos Palos Broncos or the Raiders.

He will be missed by his friends and family, but he is at home with his Lord in a body free to run and play.

Tor was preceded in death by his mother Jean Hyde Larson and his father Roy Bremer Larson, as well as two cousins, Alex Hyde and Polly Larson. He is survived by his sister Lynnea Larson Payne, his niece Sara Payne, his aunt Vera Hyde, his uncle and aunt Paul and Gladys Larson, he is also survived by many cousins; Rob and Lissa Mitchell, Will and Martha; Albert and Susan Mitchell, Sr., Katie and Rachael; Mitzi and Bob Virden; Bobby Evans; Tarah and Doug Cords, Jr. and Lili; Heidi Mitchell; Al and Jeanette Mitchell, Billy and Jennifer; Walter and Annette Mitchell, Alexander and Amanda; Mike Mitchell; Tad Hyde, Charlie and Sam.
