Tim K. O'Neill, born October 8, 1948, to William R. and Chrisanthy O'Neill in Frankfurt, Germany, passed away on October 13, 2009, in Pacific Grove at the age of 61. Tim and his family moved to the Monterey Peninsula in1953 when his father was assigned to his last tour of duty at Fort Ord. Tim graduated from Pacific Grove High School in 1966 and later earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene. For many years, Tim was self-employed, also working for the U.S. Forest Service, and most recently teaching science at Estrella Foothills High School in Goodyear, Arizona. Tim will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his only son, Dugan O'Neill, fiancée, Kelli Collar (her daughters Alix and Sydney Shackelford), his brother, Bill O'Neill (Carole), nieces, Jennifer (Aaron), Tarin and Kelly (Aaron), nephew, John, and great-niece, Riley Grace. Tim will be buried at sea along with his mother, Chris O'Neill, who predeceased him just two months ago. A benevolent fund has been set up for Tim's young son, Dugan.
